Adam Block: Audio Director, Sound Designer & Music PRoducer


I created this web page today specifically to share a high level summary of my audio and sound background with the folks developing Ashes Of Creation. I'm a San Diego local who's been working in Sound Designer and Audio Lead roles for several Activision and Sony studios over the past ten years on projects like Transformers, Guitar Hero, Planetside II, Killing Floor II, and most recently Paladins and Killing Floor: Incursion, to name a few (see main navigation link above for full list of games). 

At Craft Media Group I design, edit, mix and produce award-winning audio for games, TV spots, and other projects like animated films, documentaries, 4D motion rides and more. Typically this involves anything from designing custom sound effects, to hiring and directing voice talent, to producing and working with music composers on custom tracks for games or TV. I've been working remotely via Craft for the past six years (after leaving Sony). I'm an Audio Director and Sr. Sound Designer by trade, who manages and works very closely with some of the world's most talented music composers, voice actors and other Sr. Audio Designers who I sub-contract from time to time depending on projects, schedules and budgets. I like to remain lean but have the ability to expand myself and my team for varying project sizes and scopes. Some studios consider Craft an extra hand on deck from time to time (usually around milestones or to help with cinematics, etc.), and others simply hire me or one of my sub-contractors full time (remote) for a period of time. I've worked with Mat in the past; I trust and respect him very much so I'm very interested in learning more about Ashes of Creation and would definitely be interested to see what you're up to and how I can help.
